How to Receive SMS Online with a Temporary Phone Number
Step-by-step: pick a disposable number, use it for verification, and read OTP codes in the public inbox.
You need a one-time verification code but do not want to use your own SIM. Quick OTP lists shared temporary phone numbers with a live SMS inbox in the browser. Here is the usual flow.
Step 1: Choose a country
Open the countries page and pick a region that matches what the app expects - for example United States numbers for US-only services.
Step 2: Copy a temporary number
Select an active number with a good success rate. Copy the full E.164 format (including the + prefix) into the app or website that asks for your phone number.
Step 3: Open the inbox
Return to Quick OTP and open that number's inbox. Refresh the page until the verification SMS appears. OTP codes are highlighted for one-click copy.
Important
These are shared public inboxes. Anyone can read the messages. Do not use temporary numbers for banking, email recovery, or important accounts. See our security guide for details.
